What is Spawn Protection?​

Spawn Protection is a system designed to protect your server's spawn area from unauthorized modifications (like breaking or placing blocks) and potentially from player-vs-player (PVP) combat. It creates a safe zone around the world spawn point where only allowed players can build or fight.

How to Access the Spawn Protection Settings​

To open the Spawn Protection settings menu, Open the admin panel and locate Protection.

Spawn Protection Settings Explained​

When you open the Spawn Protection menu, you'll see these options:

Spawn Protection Toggle​

  • "Enable Spawn Protection?": This is a simple ON/OFF switch.
    • Enabled (ON): The spawn protection system is active. Players will be restricted from building, breaking, or potentially engaging in PVP within the protected radius.
    • Disabled (OFF): The spawn protection system is inactive. All players can build, break, and engage in PVP at spawn as normal.

Protection Radius​

  • "Protection Radius (Blocks)": This setting determines how large the protected area around the world spawn point will be.
    • You can enter a number here. For example, if you set it to 50, the spawn protection will extend 50 blocks in every direction (North, South, East, West, Up, and Down) from the world spawn point.
    • This means a 50 block radius creates a 100x100x100 protected cube centered at spawn.

Bypass Spawn Protection for Admins​

  • "Admins Bypass Spawn Protection?": This is a toggle that controls whether players with administrator privileges can ignore the spawn protection rules.
    • Enabled (ON): Administrators (players with the "admin" tag) can build, break, and interact freely within the protected spawn area, even if spawn protection is active.
    • Disabled (OFF): Even administrators will be subject to the spawn protection rules. This means they cannot build or break within the protected area unless the main "Enable Spawn Protection?" toggle is off.

Important Notes​

Building and Breaking in Protected Areas​

When Spawn Protection is enabled, players who are not administrators (or if admin bypass is off) will not be able to place or break blocks within the specified radius around the world spawn point. They will receive a message indicating that the area is protected.

PVP in Protected Areas​

This script primarily focuses on block protection. If you wish to disable PVP within the protected spawn area, this functionality may be managed by other scripts or server settings not covered here. Confirm with your server administrator if PVP is also restricted.
